“These aren’t your dad’s old security cameras,” stated C.G. Frink, President of Northeast Information Systems. “Security cameras have now become intelligent. Some of the most common problems with security in the past were the result of low-light environments with blurry, low-resolution cameras. When a breach would occur, authorities would have to review recordings or employ staff to monitor them live. However, the recent changes in our industry have taken security to a whole new level. Many SMBs have started to take advantage of extremely sharp, 4K resolution and when paired with facial recognition software, business owners can custom tailor their client experience. This is huge for all sorts of industries, especially organizations that are highly-trafficked or security is an extremely high priority,” Frink added.
Video conferencing offers excellent flexibility for businesses. Companies can hold meetings, regardless of the location of your employees or clients. A business with the ability to visually showcase their products or services, or educate employees, is an invaluable service to provide. People learn more efficiently through visual means as opposed to auditorily. Your company will be able to set up webinars, conferences, or training sessions. This feature dramatically improves the efficiency and productivity of your company.

Auto/Mate specializes in Dealership Management Services(DMS). About three years ago, Auto/Mate installed a Mitel Cloud system. Auto/Mate is very hands-on with their network and found that Mitel didn’t offer the flexibility and mobility that they needed to operate properly. After speaking with us, they decided to utilize Zultys cloud solutions. Dean Wescott was instrumental in this process and provided Auto/Mate with all of the necessary solutions.
ALBANY, NY – Small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) need to be able to collaborate across teams and departments and unfortunately, the old way of doing business simply has become obsolete, due to its inefficiencies. Northeast IS is actively engaged in educating the business community with how SMBs can utilize the latest in technology to position themselves to grow substantially in 2020, and if there’s a single feature that virtually every organization needs it is the ability to collaborate. With more companies looking for better, more effective ways to collaborate Northeast IS has compiled its top 3 technology tools that are imperative to foster collaboration. The first tool that business owners need to deploy within their organizations to foster collaboration is remote workforce technology.
Many breaches occur due to a lack of or delay in compliance with governing standards. To safeguard against these threats, businesses must pay attention to whether their firewall is up to date, employees are trained on security standards, computers, workstations, and servers are properly audited, along with many more variables. A qualified managed services provider handles your security, training, and auditing consistently, minimizing the risk of breaches and threats.
BURLINGTON, VT – Northeast IS a leading managed technology services provider (MTSP), announced today that the company proactively monitors the Dark Web to keep their customers’ information safe. WiFi hacking has proven to be one of the most effective means of cyberattacks and hackers are using this specific method to exploit SMBs. However, Our Secure WiFi-as-a-Service program comprehensively stamps out this threat and equips SMBs with a means to securely connect to WiFi, so that their businesses can run smoothly, securely and safely. This program goes far beyond the typical protection that most businesses utilize. Common cybersecurity packages include firewall, data backup, antivirus, malware prevention, OS security and patches, yet these solutions are no longer sufficient protection mechanisms.

“Whether you agree with remote workforce or not is inconsequential because it’s the future,” stated C.G. Frink, President of Northeast IS. “The real reason that remote working agreements are so controversial is that they highlight managerial and employee engagement issues. In other words, nothing can be swept under the rug, anymore. Management by proximity is being replaced by management through performance. This is a knowledge gap in the market and we’re attempting to shore it up within the business community so that our customers know exactly how to use technology to bolster employee engagement and to get more out of their team.”

ALBANY, NY – Did you know that WebRTC (RealTime Communications) is set to change the way companies communicate? WebRTC is a way to make phone calls, video calls, send instant messages, and share files with nothing but a web browser. WebRTC is already compatible with an estimate of over 2 billion browsers and is being supported by the major players, including Apple, Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, and Opera. This means companies who want to connect with their customers won’t need their customers to call in through a phone number nor will they be forced to download an app beforehand in order to interact. Communication is poised to become more seamless than ever before, which is a huge opportunity for enhancing customer experience.
There was a lot to do, and a great deal learned from attending TAG’s annual convention this year. We established many good connections while talking to other companies, and even got to play a few holes of golf with some of them. We learned more about vendors as well as how to utilize them to a greater degree for our clients. On top of that, there were the keynote speakers Eric Chester and Dan Thurmon who taught us a lot. Our most significant takeaway, however, was on cultural values and how we will assess ours going forward.
There are many benefits for SMBs who are considering a move to the cloud. Whether a business wants to move to the cloud for the enhanced security, the inherent flexibility, the economies of scale, the ease of migration or the allure of predictable payments, the case for cloud migration is quite clear at this point. As the year end approaches, Microsoft will be pushing Azure through their channels more aggressively and the businesses who act quickly will undoubtedly benefit from incentives, while the laggards will face numerous challenges. The SMBs who quickly realize that they need to virtualize their organization now, have the opportunity to get several steps ahead of their competitors.
It is important to make sure cellular coverage is available in all areas of your business. Dead zones can be particularly frustrating due to the reasons they can occur; in rural areas, cell towers are sparsely located causing low signals, and in large metropolitan cities, buildings made with materials like brick and concrete can affect cell connectivity. Our cell coverage booster is the solution to these issues and this system enhances every area of your business including the outdoors. This solution saves you money and improves overall business functions. From small offices to large stadiums, Northeast IS has what you need.
Many businesses tend to cover their needs with multiple services, with each service usually coming from different companies. They’ll get their IT services from one company, their communications from another, and it goes on like this. There is a complexity of getting different services from separate companies to cover all their bases, which ultimately leaves them with a tangled web of business relationships, multiple fees, representatives of different companies, schedules, working relationships to maintain, and more just to keep everything simply running smoothly. There is a simpler and less time-consuming solution, get everything you need from one company instead of several.

ALBANY, NY – February 2019 – Northeast Information Systems, a leading managed technology services provider (MTSP), announced today that they have been invited to attend the 19th Annual Technology Assurance Group (TAG) convention in Orlando, Florida. The event will take place on April 7-10, 2019 at the Rosen Plaza and will be comprised of North America’s leading MTSPs. ALBANY, NY – Northeast Information Systems a leading managed technology services provider (MTSP), is helping small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) secure their organizations from cyber-attacks, by addressing the Windows 7 “End of Life” policy that will begin in January of 2020. Microsoft has announced that they will cease supporting the software, providing updates, enhancing security features and the software will essentially become obsolete. SMBs need to be aware of this transition because cybercriminals are constantly inventing new methods and techniques to exploit weak infrastructure. If a business doesn’t adapt and bring in technology that can keep pace with the ever-evolving security threats that the modern business faces, they will eventually become a “sitting duck” for cyberattacks.
